Hello and a Happy New Year to all! I can’t believe 12 days of 2015 has already passed and we at MyM Photography are just getting started. My team mate, Erika (work saviour!) and I had to go about our travel plans with our families as early as mid December thats why we ended 2014 quite early. I also had to do the most traveling as we set off 10,000 miles away to another continent — off to another time zone—thats why I had to get my bearings back on track for almost a week as soon as we returned to Asia a few days after the new year. No complaints though as it was fun experiencing our ever first winter Christmas and New Year.
Which reminds me, as resident photographer of MyM, where I blog both my work and personal life, I have not really introduced you to my family who I refer to as Team JJ. Why Team JJ?
As a blogger since 2006 , way back our Singapore days, I started with a personal blog to connect with family and friends back home called CATWife in Sing, and recently came across this post I published which reminded me why I coined us as such.
CATWife In Sing – Meet Team JJ – 31 July 2007
it’s funny how such a small (family) unit like ours can have several names in one household… my two kutos, manang dani and manong pao, carry rodriguez, obviously. i, on the other hand, reverted back to my complicated but unique surname—— marchadesch; while carmen and hub carry the pioneer name —— jaranilla. (why?? long story that will need another post)
it’s a topic we four always laugh about during meals; trying to solve the problem of what, how or whose name to mention in the answering machine….. hahahahaha..
it’s really amusing, yet deep down we all know we all are on the same side– cheering for our main man: known as tito hey to the two kutos; dada j to carmen and hub to me.
he is the reason we now have a better life, in a better (and safe!) environment.
go go go team j(ay) j(aranilla)!!!
incidentally, carmen turned 6 months too, last sunday (29th july) and we took this chance to have a family photo. isn’t tata men-ca more adorable now? and yup, yup we don’t look bad ourselves, right?
Wow, such happy memories. Look how small all my kids are in our 2007 family photo! Gosh, time flies so fast, too fast! But no regrets. Just thankful that until now we have continued to grow and become closer as a family. Fast forward 2015, meet the older but hopefully improved Team JJ. Cheers! Happy New Year!
