Most weekday lunches I eat solo. So, I try to entertain myself by preparing my meals differently. I do this so I won’t gorge my food just to get it over with. So at noon today, I came across this mug, a birthday gift from a good friend and thought: Hmmm… why not serve my homemade Pesto Pasta in this cute and quirky face mug! Then I used one my Japanese sushi plates which I bought from a garage sale years ago in Singapore (3 pcs for SGD2.00) as a base plate. Isn’t it cute, fun and quirky?
So, the next time you know are eating solo, take time to inspire yourself and prepare your meal differently. Spice it up. Eat lavish or dainty. You can even do glamour or rustic. Or why not a picnic at home? Just have fun! But remember to take a photo of it and share (#ilovequirky)
