Wow, I can’t believe half of 2014 is over. That was really fast huh?! May was such a busy month, obviously , that I was able to do one post (apologies for that). However, busy or not my daily juicing has been on going and I have not missed a day — yay! And because juicing has been my habitual nosh, it’s been second nature to concoct simple recipes too. Having said this, I decided to do a Juice Journal, a space where I can share yummy and healthy juices with you all…
Today I want introduce , Orange Blossom. Oops but don’t be deceived by the name as there are no oranges involved here 🙂 But I promise you it’s such a refreshing drink that can taken anytime of the day. Here goes…
What you need
Apples : 2 medium to large apples. Make it 3 if your apples are small. Personally I like Fuji apples. The apple taste is not so overpowering and mixes well with the greens.
Carrots : 3 medium sized carrots. Make it 4 to 5 if you use the small organic ones.
Celery : 1 stalk. I sometimes buy the local (Thai) ones, but the imported ones are still better in terms of flavour.
How to juice
1. Slice apples , carrots and celery into small to medium cuts making sure it fits your juicer’s tube. For slicing the apples, I used the Ikea apple slicer because it cuts evenly. Don’t throw the middle portion of the apple because that can be juiced as well.
2. First throw in apples, then the celery then the carrots into the juicer. I deliberately throw in the celery in between the carrots and apples so the juice of the celery is squeezed to the max.
3. Transfer the juice to a glass and add ice. If you are saving it for later better to transfer it in an air tight drinking bottle, like a flask, and keep in the refrigerator.
Easy peasy, right? Watch out for more recipes in my Juice Journal…Happy Juicing!
