I was waiting for the right occasion to shoot with my new Canon 50mm 1.4 lens, a Christmas gift from my dear hubby. Though I did a couple of test shots the instant I got it a week back, I still wanted to “practice” in a not-so organized moment. And since this holiday home visit we opted to stay with my sister in law whose home was in full-house mode because we were three families and all with kids, 5 Kids from ages 8 to 0, mind you, I knew exactly what Christmas morning was going to be like — Perfectly Imperfect. With everyone in their PJs (Pinoy version is t-shirt and shorts), un-brushed hair and maybe with sleep in their eyes, it was the perfect way to capture moments, real moments.
And the saying is so true: Christmas without kids doesn’t feel like Christmas at all. Just seeing their oohs and ahhhs, shrieks and smiles while they tear those perfectly wrapped gifts — priceless. Best part is you totally forget how much you spent for all those plastic thingies 🙂
How was your Christmas Morning like?
